The Temple of Heaven in Beijing was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties
would make sacrices to heaven and pray for rain and bountiful harvests. Among the extant
sacricial temples in China, it is the largest and also the one that occupied the highest position
in the social order in its time. In 1961, the Temple of Heaven was included by the State Council
of the People’s Republic of China on its very rst list of “national key protected cultural relic

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower
The Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower is abbreviated as the “Oriental Pearl(Dongfang Mingzhu).”
Located on the bank of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, and at the tip of Lujiazui in Pudong
district, the Oriental Pearl has multiple functions: sightseeing, dining, shopping and entertain-
ment, historical exhibitions, river tours, other exhibitions and performances. It has become one
of the landmark buildings and most popular tourist attractions in Shanghai, one of the

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower
Xixi National Wetland Park
Covering an area of 10.08 square kilometers, Xixi National Wetland Park is located in the west of
Hangzhou. It is China’s rst and only national wetland park, which combines urban wetland,
farming wetland and cultural wetland. About seventy percent of the area is covered with water,
which creates a special habitat for various species of ora and fauna.
